maid marian was required to attend Mistress' premises at 7.30pm to do some cleaning this evening. Arriving on time at 7.30 maid marian was greeted by Mistress Adira saying "you are 1 minute early, you can wait outside for 1 more minute". i am surprised because if anything, i am 1 minute late rather than 1 minute early but i know that Mistress is always right. If Mistress says i am 1 minute early then i am 1 minute early. However Mistress allows me to enter and i am ordered to change and begin my evening's work. Mistress has a few small jobs for maid marian this evening starting with folding towels. There is a special way that Mistress likes Her towels folded so i complete my task and Mistress Adira inspects the towels to make sure they have in fact been folded in the manner She desires. Life as a maid can be tricky!
maid marian now has to clean some latex sheets and stockings and gets to play with these garments in the bath. This becomes a bit of a light hearted task for maid marian as the water is splashed around on my uniform on the floor. It does not really matter, after about 15 minutes of kneeling at the bath tub, the task is completed. i think to myself, "is that what it would have been like to be a Scullery Maid in the 19th Century?" Probably, but it is only a small insight - 15 minutes for me this evening against their normal 18 hours a day, 7 days of week!
A good clean of Mistress' foot massage bowl and then it is into the kitchen where maid marian does the dishes and then has to do some cleaning of the benches and stove top. Mistress Adira is kind as i am permitted to use high quality cleaning products and soon Mistress bench and stove top are looking spotless and shiny! An hour and half has passed and maid marian has had a good evening. maid marian is pleased with herself as she actually feels that she remained as feminine in her posture and stance as best as she ever has: bending her knees when bending down, keeping knees together, all the things that females do naturally that are so foreign to males. This is something that maid marian has been very conscious of lately as she has felt disappointed with her display of lack of feminine culture and manner in recent visits but she is much happier this evening. A happy feminine maid is what Mistress Adira wants and that is how i want to be!
