maid marian has been very busy today cleaning for Her Mistress. maid marian's day commenced at just before midday when she was dressed in her maid's uniform and had just tried on her new pajamas. Mistress has selected a very nice combination for me to wear at the pajama party - purple top and pants with lovely purple socks - i will look a very pretty girl when i go to sleep next Saturday night! After parading my new sleepwear for my Mistress it was time for some lunch - a sausage roll and a cup of coffee. i thought this was rather generous of my Mistress but i now know why - it was going to be a long day ahead and i would need all my energy to survive!
After lunch it was time to do some work. Mistress announced my first task was going to be to remove the washing from outside. Like a good maid i just did my job, ignoring the possibility that anybody could see me from the street but what is a little possible public humiliation for a maid. Mistress explained that i had to collect the washing in this order lingerie first, then towels, then clothing! So much to remember for a maid but i know that i have to because Mistress will expect me to remember next time and will be very annoyed if i need to be told more than once. Luckily i think i collected the washing without being noticed by someone walking past and it was back into the safety of inside the house with my basket full of laundry!
It was now time to pay some attention to the kitchen Mistress said with some glee in Her voice, "you can start by doing the dishes and then you can scrub the benches. After you have done that then i will give your next task!" i have wanted to know what it would be like to be a maid and now i was finding out and i was loving it! i completed all the dishes and there were a lot of them. i think Mistress saved some up for Her maid to do and then it was time to move on to the kitchen benches! At least Mistress looks after me by giving me some good quality cleaning materials which tells me that Mistress is expecting a good job to be done! i scrub, wipe, clean and scrub again until i think it is clean. That is until Mistress walks in and says "I expect it cleaner than that maid marian". "Yes Mistress" i reply and settle down to scrubbing some more. Eventually i am happy with my effort - it looks sparkling and spotless to my eye but what about my Mistress? Her verdict is the only one that counts. Mistress is reasonably impressed but requires further work to be done on the sink. Anyone who has tried to scrub a sink spotless knows that it is impossible but Mistress says it can be better so it is back to work for a final concentrated effort! Mistress is now pleased with my effort and without hesitation and time to blink, she says "now you can do some vacuuming and then some dusting."
my god, Mistress was intending to work me hard today i thought but given Mistress was having some friends over for dinner this evening, it was obvious She wanted a clean and tidy house! i completed the vacuuming. Well i thought i had completed it when in fact Mistress was not happy once again and i had to redo some areas again - no leniency from my Mistress today! Time to do some dusting and i had to dust in Mistress' bedroom and in the lounge room. Dusting is quite a relaxing task for a maid so i enjoy my dusting task and i consider that i think i have done a good job. At least Mistress found no errors with my dusting ability so i am happy!
After dusting was it time to go i began to think as it was 2.30pm and i had been working for 2 1/2 hours but my day was not over yet by a long way! Mistress then escorted me back into the kitchen and it was time to do the hardest task of my day - cleaning the stove. aIt sounded so easy but i was not too confident about using the razor on the surface of the stove top so i checked with my Goddess just what i was required to do. Mistress made it look so easy and although i had picked up on the technique it was going to be a slow and tedious task. Still a maid does not get to do all the tasks she enjoys and a stove is just another item that needs to be cleaned and that is what a maid is good at - cleaning. After a concerted effort of scrubbing and scraping and wiping i had made some real headway. A quick inspection by my Goddess and i receive a smile which i take as a positive endorsement of my efforts and i continue on with renewed enthusiasm. my fingers are beginning to ache, my shoulders are aching my feet are aching, in fact my whole body is aching but i continue to scrub and remain fully focused on the job at hand!
After about an hour i had finally finished cleaning the stove, i took a step back and admired my work, a smile came over my face as i knew i had done a good job. Pride in one's effort is most important as a maid! It is important that a maid can enjoy her work and i was certainly enjoying mine! Mistress then said it was time for maid marian to do one more task - to wash Mistress' stockings. Call this a task? This is not a task, this is a pleasure and i look at each stocking with great admiration. Stockings are so beautiful to touch and look at but i cannot spend too much time looking as a maid has to work. So i wash all of Mistress' stockings and then hang them up to dry. What a beautiful sight to see 20 pair of stockings draped over the hangers!
It is now 4.00pm and Mistress says i may get changed as my days cleaning is over! i sit on the bed getting changed when i realize that i have just spent 4 hours cleaning for my Goddess. How quickly the time has gone and what a pleasure it has been. Hard work but very enjoyable, just the way it should be for a maid, especially Mistress Adira's maid!
