Tuesday 4th November 2008

i arrived for cleaning duties at 11.30am and soon i was placing my feet back into those 4" heels! How would my feet cope with being placed back in heels so soon i pondered but to my complete surprise, they slipped so easily into my heels. It was like they were molded to the shape of my foot! Well i wore them for so long on Saturday night they should be molded to the shape of my feet by now! Slipping on my uniform and applying my lipstick i was very happy with my appearance and it was time to get down to work!

my 1st task today was to collect the laundry from outside and then fold the laundry. Working around the 2 cats i folded the towels, underwear, linen and clothes and placed them neatly on the bed awaiting Mistress' inspection and verdict! A smile from Mistress Adira was all the assurance i needed to know that i had just successfully completed my 1st task for the day! It is such a good feeling when i receive the smile of approval from my Goddess for a satisfactory effort. That is all a maid can hope for as a reward for her efforts!

The bathroom was next and the shower screen, basin and mirror were the target of my attention today! i tried not to make too much of a mess as i hosed the shower screen down and with all the soap scum removed, the glass was shining and gleaming in no time. Mistress announced that coffee was waiting (i do get spoiled sometimes) so i needed to clean the basin and mirror quickly as i did not want my coffee to go cold! Still no chance for shortcuts as Mistress would find them and i would have to do the whole task again so speed and efficiency was the key! By the time i had completed my task my coffee was still warm
(it did take a little time) and it was a few minutes of rest as i enjoyed my coffee!

Surprisingly my feet were coping quite well with being back in heels and the Melbourne Cup was approaching and i still had a few jobs to do if i wanted to see the Cup live! Out with the vacuum cleaner and this is a job that needs to be done with care as it is so easy for Mistress to see where i have missed a spot! i was very diligent with my vacuuming as always and when i could no longer see a speck of fluff, dust or cat hair anywhere, i presented myself to my Mistress for inspection! There was not long to wait as Mistress inspected around the various rooms and there were only two tasks left for me to do!

Next on my list of tasks was to wash Mistress' hosiery - what a pleasurable and enjoyable task for a maid to do! The sensation of feeling the fine nylon between my fingers as i washed and rinsed each piece of hosiery! As a maid there are a few domestic chores that just seem so natural for a maid to do: laundry, floor scrubbing, silverware polishing, dusting etc, that i get a huge adrenalin rush when i do such tasks! Today was the 1st time i have had the privilege of doing some laundry for Mistress Adira and hopefully i will be allowed the privilege of doing more laundry for my Mistress in future. There were about 12 pair of stockings and 4 pairs of hose to wash and my task was finished way to soon for my liking but there was no more to wash today and the Cup was rapidly approaching!

There was just enough time before the Cup started for me to do the dishes and the dishes were washed and put away and then I could get changed to watch the Cup! It was only after changing that i realized i had been working for more than 2 hours. Oh how time flies when i am busy and having fun. i think maids are just so wonderful and have one of the best jobs in the world and it makes me appreciate and realize just how fortunate i am to be Mistress Adira's maid!
