i was a very excited maid last night as Mistress Adira required Her maid for some mid week cleaning duties! What a fabulous bonus for me. i was looking forward to it immensely all day and i was slightly nervous as i arrived at my scheduled time of 7.30pm. Not much spare time to make sure i had bought everything Mistress. How cruel would it be to earn a punishment on a special occasion Mistress!

Luckily for me i did manage to bring everything that i needed. i chose my black uniform with white glass silk apron and with Mistress Adira applying the finishing touches to my look, securing the lace in my neck and tying my apron, i was dressed and ready for work Mistress! Mistress had indicated that i would be polishing furniture but what that entailed i did not know! Mistress quickly explained to me what polishing furniture actually involved: polishing all the wooden parts of the dining room table, table top and legs and all 6 chairs! All of a sudden my enthusiasm for mid week cleaning was disappearing as Mistress Adira continued: after doing the dining room table i could then do the spare table and the piano! Piano Mistress? i thought just how long are You intending to work Your maid this evening Mistress!

There was no time to waste as Mistress Adira gave me my cleaning cloth, my polishing cloth and the furniture polish and i was left to do my work whilst Mistress Adira continued on with Her work at the computer! i had no idea where to start really so i chose to do the table top first, cleaning the dust off with a damp cloth and then polishing vigorously until the polished surface was sparkling! That did not seem too bad Mistress. Not sure why Mistress had been trying to give me the impression that polishing furniture was not all that a glamorous job but was i about to find out why very shortly!

my next piece of furniture to polish were the 6 dining chairs and there was only one way i could get in the correct position to polish them - down on my hands and knees, not just for 1 chair but for all 6 chairs Mistress. i was feeling like a maid now on my hands and knees cleaning - oh yes Mistress what a great night my midweek cleaning was turning out to be Mistress! Each chair was difficult and required great concentration and effort to get the polish in all the hidden parts of the chair. i was stretching around down and sideways just to get my hands around each side of each leg. It was almost like i was embracing each chair Mistress! The only relief for my knees when i stood to walk the short distance from one polished chair to the next. Luckily for me i was kneeling on carpet but kneeling in stockings and heels is not very comfortable Mistress!

i had to remain on my hands and knees as i turned my efforts to cleaning the legs of the chair and soon i was finished - one piece of furniture down only 2 more to go Mistress! The occasional table in the lounge was a relatively simple piece of furniture to polish with just the table top and legs - no chairs this time Mistress. i was happy about that although i did remain on my hands and knees to do the legs Mistress. Your maid had to maintain some decorum and grace with its posture Mistress! Two pieces of furniture were now completed just the piano to go and i was not sure how difficult the piano would be. It looked magnificent and would look spectacular once polished Mistress but would it be more difficult than the dining room table and chairs Mistress? i certainly hoped not Mistress! i was beginning to get a bit tired as i had been cleaning for more than an hour so i was looking forward to completing my task Mistress!

As it turned out Mistress cleaning the piano was probably the most fascinating and interesting task Mistress. i was able to appreciate the craftsmanship and beauty of the piano and i was certainly feeling very privileged to polish Your piano Mistress! The piano was coming up a treat - it looked very impressive when polished Mistress and after cleaning the upper and front parts of the piano, i now had to get back down on my hands and knees to do the underneath parts of the piano! i paid very close attention to ensure that any sign of excess polish was removed and i was feeling very satisfied with my efforts as i looked back at the piano after i had finished Mistress! i had been polishing for just under 2 hours. For a mid week night, i was expecting that would have been the finish of my cleaning duties but was i in for a very pleasant surprise Mistress!

my cleaning duties had not finished yet by a long way and as it turned out i was only just half way through Mistress! Mistress Adira announced that i would now be polishing 2 tallboys, 1 wooden jewelery box and 2 bedside tables in the bedroom! i was caught by surprise Mistress. Whilst i really was hoping to do some more cleaning Mistress, i was not expecting to be given so many more pieces of furniture to polish Mistress! Polishing the 2 large tallboys was relatively easy and i managed to remain standing to complete this part of my task although i had to get back down on my hands and knees to do the 2 bedside tables! The 2 bedside tables were not easy to clean at all as there was very limited space in which to work Mistress. Just had to work blind in parts Mistress but i was confident that i had covered every square inch of the 2 bedside tables Mistress, just the jewelery box left Mistress!

i had been polishing furniture for well in excess of 2 hours now and my shoulders were beginning to ache, my knees were aching and my fingers were aching. In fact Mistress, by the time i had finished polishing, Mistress, nearly every bone and muscle in my body was aching Mistress. Obviously i used some muscles that i have not used that much previously Mistress! Still i was not going to complain, i always feel i should be feeling a bit tired by the time i have completed my cleaning duties Mistress if i have put in a good effort Mistress, and by the way i was feeling Mistress, i had put in a very good effort tonight Mistress! i was feeling extremely happy as i surveyed Mistress Adira's shining, brightly polished furniture. A good nights cleaning Mistress!

i was certain that was my last task and as i stood before Mistress Adira waiting, expecting to be dismissed i was in for another shock as Mistress went and collected Her Dustmagic and handed it to me. Before going home i was going to finish with some dusting. "Mistress, yes Mistress, thank You Mistress" i replied with a huge grin. Your maid was indeed thanking You Mistress for allowing Your maid to do lots of cleaning this evening Mistress. Mistress Adira required Her bookshelves dusted which would have been a mammoth task if i had to do it by hand, removing every book and then replacing them. With the Dustmagic i just do it all with the magic of the machine! Mistress Adira has hundreds of books in 4 bookcases so it would take me a full day to do by hand but with the help of the Dustmagic, it was completed in about 20 minutes. What a lucky maid i was to have been able to use a machine Mistress and not have to do it by hand Mistress!

However there was one drawback with using the Dustmagic -it certainly removed the dust from the books and shelves but sends it all to the floor so my final task was to vacuum the areas of carpet that were now covered in the dust from the bookshelves. Is a maid's work ever done Mistress? This was my final task and Mistress was satisfied with my efforts so i was dismissed for the evening - 3 hours after i had arrived - what a fabulous night for Your maid Mistress. A night of hard work but great satisfaction and pleasure Mistress! Your maid looks forward to the prospect of some more mid week cleaning opportunities in the future Mistress!
